After installing DMD 2.054 via the dmd_2.054-0_i386.deb package DMD can't compile anything:
$ dmd bla.d
object.d: Error: module object is in file 'object.d' which cannot be read
Specify path to file 'object.d' with -I switch

At least 3 people have reported this issue in the NGs. According to Johannes Pfau, the issue is that dmd.conf isn't installed properly into /etc/dmd.conf with the latest dmd release.

I'm guessing the new versions work fine now since there are no complaints.
